Unisport rocking adidas' world in Stockholm

After many years of asking adidas to come to Unisport to talk about their new products, to teach us more about details and tell us which things we should not forget pointing out to customers, adidas booked tickets for us to go to Sweden and go to a general sales presentation of the new X, Ace and Messi boots. Obviously many of us wanted to go, since we have never had adidas over before, but because we couldn't shut down the office only a select few of us were asked to go, absorb as much info as possible and teach the rest how awesome adidas (and their new football boots) really are.

Tuesday morning we (Marius, 2 Kristoffers, Patrick, Mathias, Filip, Mike and myself) went to Stockholm to see a presentation from adidas about their new X, Ace and Messi boots. After a not so pleasant flight and a very pleasant lunch we started off with a short introduction and we were with the best of the best from Scandinavia, with people from Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

Our presenter, Jules, came from the UK and started off with a small clip of the new shoes that we shared ourselves on our Unisport Facebook pages previously. Then he went deeper into detail about the three new boot silos.

During the meeting the ”chosen” eight of Unisport really showed they were there. As the only ones answering questions (once even a question from the audience) and asking questions, we showed that our basic knowledge about football gear is big, and we are eager to learn even the smallest details.

After the presentation we were allowed to fit the shoes, see an awesome adidas Smart Ball that had a Bluetooth function so you can train and see results (speed, where did you kick the ball exactly, what was the road of the ball), on your phone or tablet. Pretty sweet! I'm pretty sure many of us would love to give that thing a test!

While many of the guests were still fitting the shoes, we were talking with Jules. He told us that he was expecting a lot of interaction, feedback and questions today, and he was very relieved there was a small group of eight at the front row who provided him with that. Otherwise, it would have been a short meeting. We took the opportunity to invite him to Unisport if he wanted interaction, because there are dozens of other football nerds waiting for an adidas presentation!

He seemed enthusiastic about it, so now we might need to get his boss to fly him (or his colleagues) over to Copenhagen, to tell us all about the adidas football products. I am sure many of us living the #Unisportlife would be very pleased if they hear adidas is finally coming to our HQ!

We ended by seeing some of the new Ace16 and X16 boots, some new shirts for next year (Denmark, Germany, Russia, Spain – Euro2016, Juventus 2015/16) and more, after agreeing we wouldn't take any photos. So we can't show them to you, but we are definitely enthusiastic!
