adidas Predator LZ SL is the slimmer version of the Predator LZ II, and the boot is made with the exact same concept in mind - control the ball and direct the game. The Predator LZ SL is made with the aim to create a lightweight version of the Predator LZ II while keeping the qualities of the regular model. And adidas have been quite successful in this regard, and the Predator LZ SL weighs in at an impressively low 199 grams, which is 27 grams less than the regular Predator LZ II. adidas have achieved this aim by building the Predator LZ SL with their light SprintFrame 2.0 sole, known from the F50 Adizero, which is just 1 mm thick and is both extremely light and springy enough to provide great abilities for acceleration. In addition, the Predator LZ SL has also borrowed the upper material from the Adizero, and is hereby equipped with a SprintSkin II upper made of the adiLITE synthetic Twin. An incredibly thin, and therefore also very light material. The Predator LZ SL still has a lot in common with the other member of the Predator family, and is naturally also equipped with the 5 deadly zones on the upper. They serve to provide optimal ball control in all facets of the game, and were introduced on the first generation of the Predator LZ in 2012. After getting feedback from the adidas professionals, the zones have been made bigger and optimised in terms of location for even better ball control. The zones are as follow: Sweet Spot, Drive, Pass, Dribble and First Touch, and each serve to help improve an element in your play. The zones are made of a light, durable SL rubber that provides good ball contact and ensures an optimal ball grip to facilitate optimal control. With the Predator LZ SL you get all the functionalities from the Predator LZ II, but in a much lighter package that gives you a nice combination of good ball grip and that lightweight feel, which is so popular among many footballers.
